
Salty Sally is Lucy Khadder, MK Martinez-Griffith, Naima Nascimento and Sophia Sparks. Formed in 2022, Salty Sally features several up and coming young artists whose repertoire draws from bluegrass, folk, jazz and other styles. You can find them on Instagram and YouTube at @saltysallyband.
Lucy Khadder is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. She is a YoungArts Award winner who has twice been featured as a Next Generation Jazz artist at the Monterey Jazz Festival. She looks forward to attending Berklee College of Music next year.
MK Martinez Griffith is a cellist and violinist currently studying Civil Engineering at UC Berkeley. She has played with the Oakland Symphony Orchestra, Mariachi Juvenil de Hayward, and the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Naima Nascimento is a vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She performed at the 2024 BottleRock Festival and has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine and on Access Hollywood for her original song supporting BLM. She currently attends Carmel High School.
Sophia Sparks, a YoungArts Award winner and the 2024 RockyGrass mandolin contest winner, has been passionate about mandolin since she joined Sierra Hull on stage at age 9. She has played professionally with several bands at major festivals, and currently attends Oakland School for the Arts.
